Perang di bumi baru saja berakhir, tapi perang alam semesta baru saja dimulai. Setelah kembali ke planet asal mereka, Cybertron, Starscream mengambil-alih posisi sebagai komandan Decepticons, dan memutuskan untuk kembali ke Bumi dengan pasukannya, setelah mengetahui Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) menemukan informasi mengenai asal-asul Transformers dan sejarahnya di Bumi.
Sementara Autobots yang meyakini bahwa perdamaian dapat diwujudkan, harus menghadapi kenyataan bahwa kedamaian di bumi tak mungkin terwujud setelah tubuh Megatron yang berada di Militer US dicuri oleh Skorpinox, yang kemudian dihidupkan kembali dengan spark-nya sendiri.
Kini Megatron kembali, tentunya dengan kekuatan yang lebih dahsyat, lebih besar, dengan Starcream dan pasukan Decepticon yang lebih tangguh. Di sisi lain Autobots tak tinggal diam, siap menghadapi segala kemungkinan terburuk dari balas dendam Megatron!


Kalau suatu barang bisa dihantam, diringsekin, dibanting, diledakin, diremuk, dijungkir balik sampai hancur, maka bisa dipastikan barang itu takkan selamat di film Michael Bay. Itulah yang terbukti dengan rilisnya Transformers 2 Revenge of The Fallen, film terbaru dari sutradara yang beken sebagai maestronya mindless mayhem di Hollywood. Kalau ingin film dengan cerita setipis kulit bawang tapi kualitas efek spesial yang budgetnya mungkin bisa menandingi utang negara kita, siapa lagi yang lebih hebat dari Michael Bay? Steven Spielberg memang rajanya efek spesial di muka bumi, tapi kebanyakan filmnya masih punya cerita yang keren. Dan George Lucas adalah orang yang merubah dunia dengan Star Wars, jadi jangan sekali-kali membandingkan Michael Bay dengan dia, seburuk apapun trilogi prekuel di pandangan Anda.

Salah satu film yang bakal dinanti-nanti oleh para penggemar film tahun ini pastinya adalah Transformer 2 Revenge of The Fallen. Film tersebut merupakan sekuel kedua dari Transformer, kita liat aja apakah tangan dingin Michael Bay sebagai sutradara dapat kembali menghadirkan film yang memanjakan dan menghibur penonton dengan spesial efek yang memukau. Sepertinya film ini diprediksi bakal merajai box office untuk tahun 2009.

Transformer 2 Revenge of The Fallen seperti sekuel sebelumnya masih menghadirkan pertarungan antara Autobots vs Decepticons di mana Autobots dipimpin oleh Optimus Prime sedangkan Decepticons dipimpin oleh Megatron. Selain hidupnya Megatron yang membuat sekuel kedua ini berbeda adanya kehadiran enam buah robot baru seperti Constructicons, Soundwave, Jetfire, Arcee dan lain-lain. Selain hadirnya robot baru tentunya film kedua ini akan menghadirkan spesial efek yang lebih dahsyat dari sekuel pertamanya. Proses pengambilan gambarnya pun berada di beberapa lokasi seperti California, New Jersey, Philadelphia bahkan sampai ke Bethlehem dan mesir.

Michael Bay memang sadar kalau orang yang nonton Transformers tidak mengharapkan kisah mitik atau tokoh yang ribet. Serahkan itu semua ke segudang film lain yang juga rilis taun ini. Kita hanya mau lihat robot-robot supergede kelahi di tengah kota dan ngancurin segala macem benda!

Michael Bay emang sutradara yang bisa dibilang unik. Pas dia mau bikin drama, dia bakalan gagal abis-abisan. The Island, Pearl Harbor, dan Armageddon jadi membosankan gara-gara kebanyakan adegan dramatis ga perlu yang malah mbikin filmnya jadi cliche dan malah lebih berasa keju (cheesy) ketimbang film. Tapi, giliran dia pengen murni have some fun, dan ga peduli plot sama sekali, hasilnya malah luar biasa. Buktinya Bad Boys bagus. The Rock juga keren (walaupun bisa dibilang karena ada Nic Cage n Sean Connery-nya), Begitu juga dengan Transformers 2 Revenge of The Fallen yang pastinya pamer-efek-komputer-gila-gilaan untuk menjual filmnya, Michael Bay berhasil membuat Transformers 2 Revenge of The Fallen menjadi tontonan yang sangat mejanjikan untuk menghibur dan bahkan menakjubkan sesekali di sana-sini.

Entah akan jadi seperti apa, satu hal yang pasti, gw gak akan malewatkan efek-keren-nan-edan yang, hampir bisa dipastikan lewat trailer-nya, ada di film ini.

The most fantastic personage of the book – a female dragon called Saphira – comes to the screen thanks to the last generation "sorcery" of one of the most prestigious companies of visual effects from the sector: Digital Weta (the trilogy of " The Lord of the Rings ", " King Kong ") and Industrialist Light and Magic (the movies of "Star Wars", " Jurassic Park "). Also, Weta is creating the gigantic scene of the battle that constitutes the climax of Eragon, in which the forces of the good, supervised by the young Eragon fight against the King Galbatorix's army.
Along more than two milleniums the dragons have been – depending on the culture and the epoch – loved, been afraid or even adored. These mythical creatures are a vital support of the popular culture. Although Saphira of Eragon's novel is inspired by the rich legacy of the winged creatures of the stories, his technical creation keeps a narrower relation with the dinosaurs of " Jurassic Park ", since for the first time the power of the images generated by the most advanced computers gives "her" feelings and sensations which could be easily undestood by the public.
Eragon presents a mythology according to which there was a time in which the Dragons Riders brought the peace and the prosperity to Alagaësia. The Dragons were providing his Riders of magic power, they even were making them immortal. No enemy was capable of defeating them, until one of theirs, Galbatorix, decided to remain with all the power and annihilate the Dragon Riders. But the discovery on the part of Eragon of a shining egg of color sapphire, of which one is born her dragon Saphira makes that lost period revive.
Having discovered his real way as Dragon Rider, and with his mentor's help, Brom, Eragon is determined to restore the golden age of justice that once was known , if it can survive the frame-ups of King Galbatorix. Saphira does not speak, unlike what it would happen with a traditional personage created by computer. Instead of it, the dragon gets connected telepatically with his Rider, which reinforces the emotional, almost spiritual, existing tie between both personages.
Eragon is directed by Stefen Fangmeier, one of the authentic geniuses of the visual effects with which the movie industry is provided. During his stay in Industrialist Light and Magic, Fangmeier supervised movies as " Saving the Soldier Ryan ", "Twister", " The Perfect Thunderstorm " and " Master and Commander: To Another Side of the World ". It has obtained three times the Award BAFTA and has been a candidate for the Oscar another four times.
